Good packing protects your goods and keeps shipments moving through our hubs without delays. These tips cover both parcels and freight.
Parcels
- Use a sturdy box that fits the contents with a few centimetres of space for cushioning.
- Cushion every side so items cannot shift when the box is moved.
- Seal with strong tape across all seams, using the H-tape method.
- Remove old labels and barcodes from reused boxes.
Palletized freight
- Stack heavy items at the bottom and keep the load within the pallet edges.
- Stretch-wrap and strap the load to the pallet.
- Label two sides of the pallet so it can be identified from any direction.
Paperwork
Make sure the sender and receiver details are complete, including a phone number and email. An email address on the shipment lets us send updates as checkpoints are posted. Your PDF receipt lists everything we recorded, so check it when you receive it.
